The English Code Language Training System is the premiere language training system available that incorporates auditory, visual, and tactile-kinesthetic instruction. Utilizing the multi-sensory teaching that is the cornerstone of the Orton-Gillingham approach, this system provides parents and teachers with goals and structure that will meet the needs of students requiring either primary instruction or remediation in the English language.
The English Code Language Training Systemis an Orton-Gillingham-based system whose founding principles rely upon multisensory instruction. The Orton-Gillingham approach revolves around the scientifically-based concepts that humans acquire and master language through three distinct neurological pathways: visual processing (seeing), auditory processing (hearing), and tactile-kinesthetic processing (feeling). Simultaneously, the approach accommodates and utilizes the three pathways, and it teaches to a student's strengths while seeking to improve weaknesses through explicit and systematic phonics instruction. The English Code Language Training System has partnered with Promethean because the ActivBoard and its accompanying software, ActivInspire, are the perfect delivery system for multisensory instruction.
The English Code Language Training System places students in position to master the eighty-five percent of the English code that is phonetic. Further, and most importantly, it allows them to make intelligent choices towards mastering the remaining fifteen percent of the English code. Each ActivInspire flipchart houses an Orton-Gillingham-based lesson that teaches the intricacies of the English language. Academic language therapy sessions can cost between $75.00 to $125.00 per hour. For a small investment, teachers, parents, and students can create an endless number of language training sessions in the comfort of their classrooms or in their own home.

This flipchart contains 150 of the most commonly used phonograms in the English language. Each phonogram is presented and pronounced. The Phonics Deck is a critical component of any language training tutorial as it provides a rapid, comprehensive review of the English code.
Price: $10.00
This series of five flipcharts contains the complete sight word lists for Pre-Primer, Primer, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade. These lists are composed of high frequency Anglo-Saxon sight words. Most of these words are non-phonetic, meaning that they are neither pronounced the way that they are seen, nor spelled the way that they are spoken. Students must be able to encode and decode these words from sight or memory. If they are unable to spell and read all of these words, this represents a critical gap that must be filled before proceeding.
Price: $20.00
This series of six flipcharts contains all five short vowels in individual presentations. Additionally, a short vowels review is included. These presentations are valuable as they solidify the concept that short vowels behave differently to long vowels.
Price: $25.00
This series of twelve flipcharts covers five syllable types found in the English code. Students will study open, closed, and silent "e" syllables before proceeding to master consonant + "le" syllables and the five "r-controlled" syllables. Knowledge of syllable types prepares students for syllable division, a crucial foundation of word attack skills.
Price: $50.00
This series of three flipcharts provides critical decoding strategies as it covers VC/CV syllable division, V/CV syllable division, and VC/V syllable division. Here, the magic happens as students understand that the vast majority of words (85% of the English language) are pronounced based upon their vowel and consonant structure. Throughout and after these language training modules, parents and students will see a dramatic increase in encoding and decoding ability.
Price: $12.00
This series of twenty-one flipcharts covers the difficult concept of long vowel spellings. Students will receive an introduction to long vowel spellings. During the introduction, students will become aware that the location of the long vowel sound in the word determines how the long vowel is represented using letters. Following the introduction, students will study the four long vowels spellings for each of the five vowels ("a," "a-e," "ai," "ay," "e," "e-e," "ee," "ea," "i," "i-e," "igh," "y," "o," "o-e," "oa," "ow," "u," "u-e," "ue," and "ew"). Throughout and after these language training modules, parents and students will see a dramatic increase in encoding and decoding ability.
Price: $95.00
This series of fifteen flipcharts covers the less commonly known vowel teams. Students will study the vowel teams "au", "aw", "ei", "eu", "ey", the three sounds of "ea", "ie", the diphthongs "oi" and "oy", the two sounds "oo", the two sounds of "ou", the two sounds of "ow", and when to use "au" versus "aw", "oi" versus "oy," and "ou" versus "ow".
Price: $60.00
This series of two flipcharts contains initial blends and final blends. These presentations greatly improve a student’s understanding that consonant blends behave differently to consonant digraphs.
Price: $8.00
This series of six flipcharts covers the more difficult consonants that have multiple sounds. Students will study the two sounds of "c", the two sounds of "g", the two sounds of "s", the three sounds of "-ed", the three sounds of "y", and the phonogram, "qu". Throughout and after these language training modules, parents and students will see a dramatic increase in encoding and decoding ability.
